November 2026

  1. Libraries

    qbit-libbitcoinpqc v0.3.2

The library now reports a secret key that fails validation at signing as BAD_KEY rather than BAD_SIGNATURE, and allocation failures as the new OUT_OF_MEMORY code, so callers that branch on error codes should handle both. Debug builds need up to 80 KiB more stack; keys, signatures and verification results are unchanged.

October 2026

  1. Wallet

    Qbit Wallet 1.0.6

Approvals and the send screen now lead with the amount leaving the wallet, fee included, warn about unusually high fees, and mark outputs to addresses the wallet doesn't recognize. The phishing warning now also catches known phishing pages reached by redirects, link wrappers, typed URLs and bookmarks, and the balance says when the explorer can't be reached instead of showing 0.

  2. Libraries

    qbit-js 0.1.1

Adds an offline mock backend at @qbit-oss/api/testing and a maxResponseBytes response limit (64 MiB by default), and fixes places where the packages disagreed with Qbit Core. Some fixes can break existing code, including new PSBT refusals and the move to @noble/hashes ~1.8.0.

  3. Libraries

    qbit-libbitcoinpqc v0.3.1

Key generation and signing now wipe SLH-DSA secret-key material from the stack before returning, which makes them about 12% and 10% slower in the release benchmarks. The API, ABI, keys, signatures and verification results are unchanged.

  4. Wallet

    Qbit Wallet 1.0.5

First release of Qbit Wallet from its public repository. Sends skip inputs that cost more than they add and no longer spend unconfirmed coins from others, phishing blocking works under Manifest V3, and some site requests that 1.0.4 accepted are now refused or answered differently.

  5. Pool

    Qbit Mining Bootstrap v3.1.1

Fixes two ways shares were wrongly refused, under brief lock contention and as stale on other frontends after a pool block, and offers a found block again when its node connection opens too slowly. Upgrading needs a database migration, one more database connection per frontend and re-provisioned alert rules.

  6. Libraries

    qbit-pqc 0.1.1

Adds worker entry points (@qbit-oss/pqc/worker and /worker/handler) for signing off the calling thread, an @qbit-oss/pqc/external-wasm build without the embedded WASM, and an optional WASM SHA-256 check in init(). Code that always reads PqcError stats, or pins the WASM hashes, needs updating.

  7. Libraries

    qbit-js 0.1.0

First published release of @qbit-oss/protocol and @qbit-oss/api. For integrators of the unpublished 0.0.0 snapshot, breaking changes align P2MR signing, PSBTs, descriptors and URIs with Qbit Core, and broadcastTx never re-sends a submission that may have reached the node.

  8. Libraries

    qbit-pqc 0.1.0

First published release of @qbit-oss/pqc: SLH-DSA signing and verification over a WASM build of libbitcoinpqc. The WASM is embedded, so init() loads no separate file and works without bundler configuration in webpack 5, esbuild and Vite; Node.js ^20.19.0 or >=22.12.0 is required.

  9. Pool

    Qbit Mining Bootstrap v3.1.0

Adds a dual writer, off by default, so two nodes can each write their own Postgres database and serve miners at once. Every deployment needs three new schema migrations, which can run while 3.0.0 is still serving.

  10. Pool

    Qbit Pool is now live

Qbit Pool is live at pool.qbit.org. It runs on PRISM 3.0.0, an open-source native Rust server, and pays miners from each found block's coinbase or a CTV fanout, for a 2% fee with no accounts or KYC.

  11. Pool

    Qbit Mining Bootstrap v3.0.0

Replaces the Python coordinator with qbit-prism-server, a native Rust server that keeps the existing miner protocol, and supports several frontends coordinated through Postgres. Per-worker credited-difficulty overrides are gone, and upgrading from 2.x needs a one-way database migration and a configuration review.

September 2026

  1. Pool

    Qbit Mining Bootstrap v2.0.0

Moves the PRISM public dashboard API into its own service, prism-public-api, backed by a Postgres hot standby, and keeps each worker's converged difficulty across reconnects. Upgrading needs a maintenance window for the database migration, a provisioned standby and rerouted public API traffic.

August 2026

  1. Pool

    Qbit Mining Bootstrap v1.1.0

Hardens found-block landing so blocks reach the node before pool accounting, scales share ingest for production hashrates, and adds a reward-window leaderboard to the public API. New settings are optional; expect a one-time backfill of carry history on first start.

July 2026

  1. CoreMainnet

    Qbit Core v1.0.0

Qbit v1.0.0 launches peer-to-peer digital value for the post-quantum era. From block zero, Qbit is built around quantum-resistant spend authorization, proof-of-work issuance, and long-horizon self-custody. This release carries Qbit from public testnet into its production network.

  2. Pool

    Qbit Mining Bootstrap v1.0.0

Moves the stack to the Qbit mainnet release line, building Qbit Core v1.0.0 by default, documents the AuxPoW chain IDs (47 on mainnet, 31430 on testnet4), and adds fail-closed mainnet prelaunch and go-live checks. Review the configuration before upgrading a production stack.

  3. Pool

    Qbit Mining Bootstrap v0.1.2.3

Adds an opt-in high-difficulty Stratum port for rental-scale and hashrate-marketplace miners, and acknowledges shares without waiting on block submission or Postgres. Shares that can't be saved at once go to a recovery file, which must be on storage that survives restarts.

  4. Pool

    Qbit Mining Bootstrap v0.1.2.2

Fixes a PRISM audit verifier regression that could reject valid block candidates with testnet-scale difficulty values before they were stored or submitted. PRISM operators on v0.1.2.1 should upgrade; no configuration or database migration is needed.

  5. Pool

    Qbit Mining Bootstrap v0.1.2.1

Adds direct coinbase settlement artifacts to the public dashboard API, deduplicates PRISM audit storage, and adds retry backoff to CTV fanout broadcasts. Review the new retention settings and keep the audit directory on persistent storage.

  6. CoreTestnet4

    Qbit Core v0.1.2-testnet4

Brings back Sign/Verify for P2MR data proofs in the Qt wallet, whose Create Wallet dialog now encrypts new private-key wallets by default, and lets submitauxblock accept legacy Dogecoin-style AuxPoW payloads. Nodes upgrading from v0.1.1-testnet4 need no chain reset.

  7. Pool

    Qbit Mining Bootstrap v0.1.2

Adds PRISM, a non-custodial Qbit pool with Stratum mining, Postgres share accounting, P2MR coinbases, CTV fanout settlement and audit artifacts. To start, PRISM needs unique signing seeds, a trusted ledger writer public key and production guard flags.

June 2026

  1. Infrastructure

    qbit-electrs v3.3.0-qbit.1

First public Qbit release of electrs, based on mempool/electrs v3.3.0. It indexes Qbit mainnet, testnet4 and regtest, with P2MR addresses and AuxPoW blocks, keeps the upstream REST and Electrum APIs, and needs an unpruned qbitd with full witness history.

  2. Pool

    Qbit Mining Bootstrap v0.1.1

Fixes AuxPoW commitment byte ordering so coordinator and helper payloads follow the createauxblock order, and updates the merge-mining docs to match. AuxPoW and merged-mining operators should use it instead of 0.1.0.

  3. Pool

    Qbit Mining Bootstrap v0.1.0

First public release of the Qbit mining bootstrap lab: Docker Compose workflows for regtest mining, permissionless Qbit mining through ckpool, and an AuxPoW lab with qbitd, bitcoind and a Python coordinator.

  4. CoreTestnet4

    Qbit Core v0.1.1-testnet4

Corrects the AuxPoW commitment byte order through a testnet4 consensus change at height 20500, so nodes, pools and AuxPoW adapters should upgrade before then. Adds the signdatapqchash and verifydatapqchash RPCs and parallel P2MR/PQC wallet signing, on by default.

  5. Libraries

    qbit-libbitcoinpqc v0.3.0

First public release for Qbit, supporting only the bounded SLH-DSA-SHA2-128s-bounded30 profile through the C and Rust APIs. Renames the Cargo package to qbit-libbitcoinpqc while keeping the bitcoinpqc crate name, the C headers and the bitcoin_pqc_* ABI namespace.

  6. CoreTestnet4

    Qbit Core v0.1.0-testnet4

The public Qbit testnet4 release: node, wallet, GUI, mining and relay, with P2MR outputs spent by SLH-DSA signatures and AuxPoW merged mining. It starts a reset testnet4 chain, so operators who ran an earlier release candidate should remove or archive their old testnet4 directory.
