Qbit Pool is now live
Release notes
Qbit Pool is live at pool.qbit.org.
- Payouts. A found block pays miners' qb1 addresses from its coinbase, or through a CTV fanout. The pool holds no spend key, and miners can recompute the split. The fee is 2%, with no accounts or KYC.
- Software. The pool runs on PRISM 3.0.0, an open-source native Rust server. Miners connect to several frontends, which send found blocks to the Qbit node first and share one PostgreSQL writer. The dashboard runs on a replica, and difficulty survives a reconnect within 15 minutes.
- Testing. Each of PRISM 3.0.0's six release candidates passed a load harness that reconciles the ledger exactly, faults injected under load, Stratum fuzzing and a 5.5-hour soak. In a failover drill at 300 shares per second, the database primary crashed without warning and the standby was promoted: zero acknowledged shares were lost.
- Track record. 15,139 Qbit mainnet blocks have been found with PRISM, as of block 143,723.
